MOVIE ESSAY

How do you think the life of a photographer is during a war? And is it worth it?
I think that it’s hard because they have to dodge bullets and watch out where they are walking because they could easily step in or on a mime. It also could be said because they have to see dead people and love ones cry for the ones that they lost. They have to walk around dead bodies. I don’t think that it is worth it some times because some one has the right to show the others in the world the life of the wars after life. They have to show all the innocent life’s that ended for no reason. Kids pregnant women and elderly people that didn’t have anything to do with the war died.

The Photo that I choses is photo number 42.
2. Briefly describe the photo. What is the CVI? Is it a formal portrait, an informal portrait, or something else?
I think that this photo is environmental .Beacuse this lady is coming home from an church service on Easer Sunday. And She doesn't normal walk down the street like this every day.
3. Form- What are the major composition techniques used in this photo, and how are they used?
I think that there really isnt any techniques that i see.
4. Content - What are the eye positions, and how does this affect the photo? Describe the
lighting.
Her eyes are looking off to the side as if she was looking at some one on the other side of the street.
5. Expression- What is happening in this photo that makes this moment "decisive?"
This lady is walking home from a church service and the person that took this photo caught her off gard.

1. What is the difference between a Formal, informal, environmental portrait?
FORMAL-they are stiff, there isn't any movement in the photo.(Daguerrotype)
INFROMAL- the peroson in the photo is not so stiff.(print of Hemingway)
ENVIRONMENTAL- the person in the photo is not in a poses. The photo is a real life event.

2. What do the eyes tell us?
If the person is focus or not if the eyes are stright ahead then they are probly focus. And if the eyes are to the side then they might be in a daze or they might be thinking.
3. What does the background and body position tell us?

Usually if the person in the photo has their hands up by their mouth then they mabe thinking.
4. How does the lighting affect the shot?

Mostly black and white photo's are like deppresing.
